Setup the driver for the preview camera “DFK21F04”
These instructions describe the procedures to install
the driver for the preview camera “DFK 21F04” on a computer with the operating system
Windows® 7 x 64bit; used with the SCAN,
The shown
procedure is based on the install DVD of the software version 1.16; and is used
to install the driver for:
· Control and interfacing the preview camera “DFK 21F04”

· The install CD / DVD of the software version to be
installed

· The installation should be done from a HDD, DVD or a
pen drive.
· 
Connect the preview camera to a not occupied FireWire
controller or card (not occupied by the AVT camera driver).
Start the file
<Drive>:\Drivers\

If this
dialogue is shown, the camera is not recognized.
Press cancel
and start the driver again after modifications are done!
If the camera will not be
recognized

Check the correct connection of the external and
internal FireWire cable.
·
Try with another external FireWire cable.
·
Try with another FireWire port or controller.

If this
dialogue is shown, the camera is recognized.
· Welcome dialogue of the driver installer
Press “Next”
· Setup in progress
· Dialogue “Finish” of the installer
Press “Finish”
Setup Driver of the camera
“DFK21F04” via the Device Manager
Start the “Device manager”
Press “Start”(1), “Computer”(2),
“System properties”(3),and “Device Manager”(4).
Connect the camera
If the camera is connected, it will be shown by the
device manager automatically.
· “Imaging devices”, “Imaging Source DFK 21F04”
If the camera will not be recognized
· Check the connection
· Try with another FireWire cable
· Try with another FireWire port
· Try with another FireWire controller or card

Start the dialogue “Properties” by
double click on “Imaging Source DFK 21F04”
· Select the tab “Driver”
· Press “Update driver …”
Click on “Browse my computer …”
· Check “Include subdirectories”
· Browse for the folder, on the install DVD

· Select the folder “…\Drivers\Preview camera for
Press “OK”
Press “Next”
Press “Close”
Press “Close”
