Setup the driver for the preview camera DFK 21F04
· This procedure is true until the software version 1.14; based on the
operating system Windows XP® x32bit
·
Driver name: ”drvInstaller.exe”
The driver is found on the install CD: <CD ROM> \Drivers\Preview
camera for current Pannoramic DESK,
· Alternatively you
can setup the driver for the preview camera via the device manager and the “Hardware wizard”.
Requirements
· Installed operating system Windows® XP x 32bit
· The install CD or DVD of the software version to be
installed

“DFK21F04”
· The installation should be done from a HDD, DVD or a
pen drive.
1.
Run the file „drvInstaller.exe” from the install folder.
· The setup
application will alert you to connect the device. Connect the FireWire cable
header into the rear of the Pannoramic scanner. By doing this the application
recognizes the preview camera and enables the „Next” button to continue the
installation.
Press the „Next”
button.
If the camera will not be
recognized:

Check the correct connection of the external and
internal FireWire cable.
·
Try with another external FireWire cable.
·
Try with another FireWire port or controller.

Press the
„Continue Anyway” button to install the driver.
If setup finished
installing the new hardware, a dialog appears to inform, that „The installation
has been completed!”. Press „Finish” to finishing installation.
The driver had
been successfully installed and the camera is ready for use Mirax Scan.
2. Install the driver for
the preview camera DFK 21F04 via the device manager.

Click on “Start”, select “Control panel”, “System”,
and “Hardware”.

Select “Device Manager”.
3.
If the camera is connected, the item “Imaging Devices”
can be found and all connected cameras of this controller are listed. To avoid
wrong driver installing, disconnect all other cameras for this install
procedure and reconnect them if the installation is finished.
If the item “Imaging Devices” can not be found, the camera is not
connected, defect or any FireWire cable for the DFK 21F04 has no contact.
If the camera will not be
recognized
·
Check the correct connection of the external and
internal FireWire cable.
·
Try with another external FireWire cable.
·
Try with another FireWire port or controller.

Double click on the item “Generic1394 Desktop camera #
...”.
5.
Select “Drivers” and “Update Driver...”.
6.
Select “No, not
this time” and click on next.
7.
Select “Install
from list ...” and click on next.
8.
Select “Don’t
search ...” and click on next.
9.
If the driver
for the DFK21F04 was previously already installed, the installed driver can be
found here in the list.
Select “The Imaging Source
10. Click on “Have Disk ....”
11. Click on “Browse ....“
12. Locate the file and click on “Open”
The path is:
... Drivers\Preview camera for current Pannoramic DESK,
13. If the driver was already installed previously, this
folder will be offered automatically.
14. Select the file “TISDCam.inf” and click on “Open”.
11. Click on “OK”
12. Click on “Next“
16. Click on “Continue anyway“.
17. Click on “Finish“.
After a few seconds the hardware
will be recognized by the operating system and then the preview camera is ready
for work with the service program or the Program “SlideScanner.exe”.
