Pannoramic™ 480 2nd Generation, Powered with Polarization
This new versatile scanner serves various research purposes, such as morphology analysis, brightfield imaging for tumor detection, cytology for cancer detection, and polarization scanning. The focus on polarization addresses the need to examine heavy metal deposits in bone marrow, relevant to bone health and disease, including osteoporosis and cancer. Additionally, the polarization feature extends its utility to geological fields like paleontology, planetary geology, mining, mineralogy, and petrology.
3DHISTECH proactively engaged with our clientele, incorporating their feedback from the previous P480 to refine and optimize the P480 2nd Gen user experience. We continue developing and improving the performance of our PANNORAMIC™ Line and we retain the title of having the fastest whole-slide scanners available on the market.
The benefits of using Pannoramic Digital Slide Scanners
THE NEW AND IMPROVED PANNORAMIC™ 480 2ND GEN
- Enhanced Stability and Extended Lifespan: We’ve upgraded to a ball screw spindle, replacing the PIEZO motor focus unit. This advancement promises increased stability and a longer operational life, supporting over 200,000 slide scans. Expect improved performance, durability, reduced noise, and maintained speed.
- Motorized Condenser Upgrade: Our new motorized condenser unit allows for precise height adjustment, optimizing alignment for various objectives. It’s compatible with the 10x objective, features an adjustable auxiliary lens, and can integrate a polarizer for future versatility. (No polarization occurs with the 10x configuration)
- Enhanced Interlock System: Our redesigned interlock system ensures safety by cutting power to moving parts when the door is open, addressing previous concerns about robustness based on customer feedback.
- Integration of 10x Objective (RX): Despite a slight resolution reduction, this feature expands the field of view, enhancing scanning efficiency.
- Improved Z-Stack Capabilities: Version 4.1 of our scanner includes quadruple enhancements in Z-Stack capabilities, improving performance across various parameters such as PC memory, camera configurations, layer quantities, and sample types.
- Polarization Enhancement (RX): We’ve addressed limitations by introducing a polarizing capability, particularly useful for specimens exhibiting crystalline structures. This feature expands the scanner’s applications to include geological and skin samples, heavy metal deposition investigation, and qualitative and quantitative analysis of anisotropic samples.
- Integrated Display: Our scanner now features an integrated touchscreen for quality checks and operational control. While the integrated display enhances user-friendliness, for optimal slide viewing, we recommend utilizing the scanner in conjunction with a high-resolution, color-calibrated medical-grade display.
- Brighter and More Stable Illumination: With the new Hamamatsu 20 W illuminant, expect brighter and more consistent illumination for improved imaging.
- Movable Microscope Unit: During installation, the entire microscope unit can be easily moved forward, ensuring it can pass through standard doors without hassle.
