Explore Tissue Microarray Technology with TMA Grand Master, TMA molmed, and TMA Master II – three high-performance instruments designed for precision, efficiency, and high-throughput sample processing. These solutions empower molecular pathology, translational research, and biobanking by enabling automated, high-density TMA block creation with advanced digital integration.
Tissue Microarrays
Tissue Microarrays are an innovative approach to histopathological analysis, enabling high-throughput, multiplexed tissue sample studies on a single slide. By extracting precise tissue cores from multiple donor blocks and embedding them into a single recipient block, TMAs streamline workflows, enhance reproducibility, and maximize sample efficiency for research in pathology, oncology, and molecular diagnostics.
With TMA technology, laboratories can efficiently process large sample cohorts, reducing reagent costs and slide preparation time while maintaining high-quality histological integrity. TMAs play a crucial role in biomarker discovery, drug development, and personalized medicine, supporting IHC, FISH, and molecular profiling techniques.
The TMA Grand Master is the ultimate high-capacity, fully automated TMA instrument, capable of handling ultra-high-density TMA blocks with unmatched speed and precision. Designed for large-scale research projects, it ensures seamless core transfer, digital integration, and advanced barcode tracking for an optimized workflow. Tailored for institutional research applications, includes an All-in-one Server PC and TMA Control software.
TMA molmed combines TMA preparation with molecular sampling, making it ideal for translational research, PCR workflows, and biomarker discovery. With mega block compatibility, this dual-functionality instrument enables high-volume sample processing, supporting up to six standard donor blocks or two mega blocks with 30 PCR tubes, as well as configurations for three standard donor blocks or one mega block with a wellplate. Its open modular architecture supports PCR cassettes, microtiter plates, and customized tissue cassettes, ensuring seamless integration into molecular workflows for DNA, RNA, and protein extraction, including PCR, dPCR, and sequencing applications, ensuring precise and contamination-free processing. TMA molmed also offers seamless MRXS digital slide integration. Offered as a solution package for small to medium laboratories with a control PC, TMA-specific software and complimentary 3DHISTECH research software.
The TMA Master II delivers automated tissue core extraction and placement, offering customizable recipient block layouts and high-throughput TMA creation. Tissue Microarrays (TMAs) are highly valuable for high-throughput histological and molecular analysis, enabling biomarker discovery, drug testing, and disease research across multiple scientific disciplines.
Below are the research applications and use cases where TMAs are applicable:
With TMA technology, laboratories can efficiently process large sample cohorts, reducing reagent costs and slide preparation time while maintaining high-quality histological integrity.
A robust and centralized server solution, this component delivers high-performance local and server storage, database management, and processing capabilities. It ensures seamless data handling, maintaining operational efficiency while guaranteeing the integrity and security of your digital pathology data.
TMA Control is the central software for managing all 3DHISTECH tissue microarray (TMA) instruments, facilitating TMA block design and construction with precision. It supports donor block ID and data import from various spreadsheet formats, streamlining workflow integration.
The software features digital slide overlay, allowing for accurate tissue core selection by superimposing annotated digital slides (MRXS) and JPEG images onto donor block scans. With its advanced TMA database, all project data is automatically saved, enabling seamless project continuation even after an interruption or system reboot.
TMA Register provides comprehensive management of TMA data, query handling, and slide design planning. It supports data export in multiple spreadsheet formats and offers advanced search functionalities for retrieving TMA and tissue sample-related information.
Additionally, it facilitates TMA block sectioning and staining workflow planning, ensuring an organized experimental process. By integrating with SlideCenter, TMA Register verifies whether planned TMA slides have been scanned and archived.
Furthermore, stored TMA slides can be automatically de-cored, enabling the generation of individual spot slides for further analysis.
