The tissue microarray (TMA) technique can be used as a valuable, high-throughput method for diagnostic and research purposes as well. Our tissue microarrayers are able to place more than 550 samples into one recipient block. The holes for the tissue samples are uniquely produced by drilling, for better TMA Block quality. The automatic block height and tool size measurement our Tissue microarrayers are highly efficient tools for TMA block building. Capable of both 1D and 2D barcode reading, the barcode string can then be used as a unique block ID or as additional sample information. Our systems are capable of extraction of tissue samples in PCR tubes or microtiter plates for molecular analysis. By placing up to several hundred different samples into one paraffin block, TMA brings major economical advantages in time, quality and cost of tissue preparation, slide preparation and staining. The real advantages of tissue microarrays can only be achieved when using an advanced automated tissue microarrayer such as the TMA Grand Master, the TMA molmed, or the TMA Master – powered by the TMA Control software and complemented by the TMA Module.
