DL_Assistant
The download assistant is an added feature to the Pannoramic Scanners
Service Manual (PSSM) since 2018 March and helps to make easier the download
procedure of the manual.
The DL_Assistant consists of 2 main parts
·
Download
the manual or parts of it, and
·
Expanding
of all downloaded parts
Extracting of
downloaded manual parts
Load down the batch file
expand_all.bat
into the created folder (pssm).
If the download of all desired manual files is finished, start the
expand_all.bat.
Advantage
The downloaded files will be expanded automatically and files can not be
forgotten to expand.
Principle
In the expand_all.bat
file all the files of the manual are listed from 01 ... 18 and will be
started.
If the file to be expanded exists in the folder pssm, where the
downloaded files are stored, the file will be overwritten.
If the file does not exist in the folder, an error message occurs.
- Because the
videos are expanded at the end of the bat file, you may start the manual,
before the video download finished.
- If a file
already exists in the destination folder, the file will be always
overwritten.
- If a source
file does not exist in the download folder, an error message occurs. The
user has to check the trueness of the message.
- If the missed
file is required, the user should download and expand the file manually,
separately; if the file is not desired and not required for the manual,
easily ignore the message.
- To check the
messages, the batch file stops with the command "pause"
Download procedure
Download the *.exe files with a number in the first character position,
required for the manual, (download all) or
required for updating; (information can be found in the "Version
update history")
If the download of the files is finished
start "expand_all.bat"
and expand the downloaded *.exe files.
